THE PENNSYLVANIA DUI ASSOC., WAS ESTABLISHED TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN PROFESSIONALS AND CITIZENS WORKING WITH DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE (DUI) OFFENDERS. THE ASSOC. ALSO CONDUCTS PROGRAMS TO INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE DANGERS OF DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PENNDOT CONTRACTS - CONTRACTS FOR ALCOHOL HIGHWAY SYSTEM, LEL AND QUALITY ASSURANCE FOR IGNITION INTERLOCK. PROVIDE CERTIFICATION AND RE CERTIFICATION FOR CRN EVALUATORS AND DUI/UAD INSTRUCTORS. HELD WORKSHOPS/CONFERENCES FOR PAHSP FOR DUI INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION AND WORKSHOPS/CONFERENCES FOR CRN EVALUATOR CERTIFICATION. THERE WERE MISCELLANEOUS CONTINUING EDUCATION WORKSHOPS THAT WERE HELD TO PROVIDE A VAST ARRAY OF MATERIALS, PRODUCTS AND SERVICES FOR THE DUI PROFESSIONAL. UNDER THE QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM OF THE IGNITION INTERLOCK CONTRACT, SURVEYS WERE SENT OUT TO PARTICIPANTS IN THE PROGRAM, SITE INSPECTIONS & STATE AUTHORITY AND REFRESHER WORKSHOPS WERE PERFORMED.


ALL OTHER PROGRAMS


EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THROUGH THE SAFETY BUG, SAFETY SIMULATOR AND THE MOVING MEMORIAL. THE SAFETY BUG/SIMULATOR ARE POPULAR YOUTH PREVENTION CAMPAIGNS AND SIMULATE IMPAIRED DRIVING TO STUDENTS. THE MOVING MEMORIAL REPLICATES THE DUI VICTIMS MEMORIAL GARDEN IN HARRISBURG, PA, WHICH LISTS 1,000 NAMES OF DUI VICTIMS.


SADD/YOUTH PROGRAMS - IN AN EFFORT TO REACH YOUNG PEOPLE ABOUT THE PREVENTION OF DUI, THE ASSOCIATION HOSTS THE PA SADD PROGRAM. THERE ARE VARIOUS CONFERENCES/ACTIVITIES DIRECTED TO PA YOUTH HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, WHICH INCLUDES STATEWIDE SADD CONFERENCES.
