MADLYN AND LEONARD ABRAMSON CENTER FOR JEWISH LIFE (D/B/A ABRAMSON SENIOR CARE)("ABRAMSON"), PROVIDES CHARITABLE SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY ENCOMPASSING FACILITY AND COMMUNITY BASED HEALTHCARE AND OTHER RELATED SERVICES.ABRAMSON OPERATES THE HEALTHY BRAIN AND MEMORY CLINIC AND A MEMBERSHIP PHYSICIAN PRACTICE IN THE BRYN MAWR MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING ADJACENT TO BRYN MAWR HOSPITAL. THE CLINIC PROVIDES MEMORY LOSS COUNSELING AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES. THE TRANSITIONAL CARE CENTER (TCC) AT LANKENAU MEDICAL CENTER OPERATES A 35 BED FACILITY. IN ADDITION, ABRAMSON OPERATES A HOSPICE PROGRAM, A HOME HEALTH CARE AGENCY, AND PHYSICIAN PRACTICES.IN PRIOR YEARS, THE CORPORATION SERVICE OFFERED MEDICAL ADULT DAY CARE PROGRAM, IN PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. PROGRAM HAS NOT BEEN OPEN SINCE MARCH OF 2020 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.THE ABRAMSON CENTER CONTINUES ITS HISTORIC MISSION OF SERVING AS A SAFETY NET FOR ELDERLY JEWS NEEDING LONG-TERM CARE WHO ARE WITHOUT FINANCIAL MEANS THROUGHOUT THEIR HOME CARE AND OTHER BUSINESS UNITS THAT ABRAMSON CENTER MAINTAINS AND STILL OPERATES.SKILLED NURSING CARETHE TRANSITIONAL CARE CENTER (TCC) AT LANKENAU MEDICAL CENTER SERVE THE NEEDS OF PATIENTS THAT NEED POST-ACUTE REHABILITATION AFTER DISCHARGE FROM A HOSPITAL STAY BEFORE THE PATIENT IS READY TO RETURN HOME.HOSPICETHE ABRAMSON HOSPICE, LAUNCHED IN JANUARY 2008, IS A NONSECTARIAN PROGRAM SERVING SENIORS RESIDING ON THE CENTER'S CAMPUS AS WELL AS ADULTS LIVING IN THEIR OWN HOMES OR IN OTHER SENIOR COMMUNITIES, OR IN HOSPITALS. THE ABRAMSON HOSPICE SERVES PEOPLE WITH HIGH-QUALITY, MULTI-DISCIPLINARY HOSPICE SERVICES. WE ALSO PROVIDE BEREAVEMENT SERVICES TO THOSE IN NEED, EVEN IF THEY WERE NOT CLIENTS OF THE PROGRAM. AN IMPORTANT FEATURE THAT SETS THE ABRAMSON HOSPICE APART FROM OTHER HOSPICE PROGRAMS IS ITS MISSION TO PROVIDE SERVICES AND SPECIALLY TRAINED STAFF WHO ARE UNIQUELY INFORMED ABOUT AND SENSITIVE TO THE NEEDS OF JEWISH CLIENTS AND UNDERSTANDING OF JEWISH CULTURE, TRADITIONS, AND OBSERVANCES. HOME CAREABRAMSON HOME CARE WAS ESTABLISHED IN DECEMBER 2010 THROUGH THE ACQUISITION (ASSET PURCHASE) OF AN EXISTING HOME CARE AGENCY BASED IN ELKINS PARK, PA. ABOUT FOUR YEARS AGO, THE CENTER MOVED THE HOME CARE OFFICE FROM ELKINS PARK, PA TO JENKINTOWN, PA BUT THE OFFICE STILL HOSTS THE ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIVITIES OF THE HOME CARE LINE OF BUSINESS INCLUDING SCHEDULING AND BILLING. ABRAMSON HOME CARE IS A NONSECTARIAN PROGRAM SERVING SENIORS RESIDING IN THEIR OWN HOMES. ABRAMSON HOME CARE SERVES PEOPLE WITH HIGH-QUALITY CARE WITH A TEAM OF WELL-TRAINED STAFF INCLUDING REGISTERED NURSES (RN), LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES (LPN), CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANTS (CNA), HOME HEALTH AIDES, PHYSICAL THERAPISTS, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS, SPEECH THERAPISTS, SOCIAL WORKERS, DIETICIANS, HOMEMAKERS AND COMPANIONS. ABRAMSON HOME CARE OFFERS SERVICES TO MEDICARE PARTICIPANTS, MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PARTICIPANTS AND PRIVATE DUTY CARE. AN IMPORTANT FEATURE THAT DIFFERENTIATES ABRAMSON HOME CARE FROM OTHER HOME CARE AGENCIES IS ITS MISSION TO PROVIDE SERVICES AND SPECIALLY TRAINED STAFF THAT ARE UNIQUELY INFORMED ABOUT AND SENSITIVE TO THE NEEDS OF JEWISH CLIENTS AND UNDERSTANDING OF JEWISH CULTURE, TRADITIONS, AND OBSERVANCES. HOWEVER, ABRAMSON HOME CARE HONORS THE RELIGIOUS PREFERENCES OF ALL CLIENTS. ABRAMSON HOME CARE PROVIDED OVER 22,000 HOURS OF HOME CARE SERVICES TO CLIENTS WHO QUALIFIED FOR MEDICAL ASSISTANCE.
