OPERATION OF A PUBLIC LIBRARY TO SERVE MECHANICSBURG AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY, PA. THE LIBRARY CIRCULATED 404,504 MATERIALS IN 2020 TO OUR LOYAL 16,035 CARD-HOLDING PATRONS AND OUR VISITORS. THE LIBRARY HAD OVER 117,000 PEOPLE VISIT THE LIBRARY IN 2020; WITH 14,180 GUESTS ATTENDING 1,211 PROGRAMS HELD FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, AND TO REVIEW OR BORROW THE OVER 130,000 ITEMS WITHIN THE LIBRARY'S COLLECTION. A STATE-MANDATED 3 MONTH CLOSURE IN 2020 DUE TO THE PANDEMIC SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACTED THE LIBRARY'S SERVICES.
