Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3 - Line 4a
TO ACCOMPLISH OUR MISSION, WE ARE COMMITTED TO KEEPING OUR PROGRAM AFFORDABLE. OUR RATES ARE DETERMINED ON A SLIDING SCALE BASED ON FAMILY SIZE AND INCOME. WE ACCEPT STATE SPONSORED SUBSIDIES AND OFFER PRIVATE FEE SUBSIDIES SO THAT QUALITY CHILD CARE IS WITHIN REACH OF HARD-WORKING, LOW- INCOME FAMILIES. SOMETIMES THE LACK OF RELIABLE CHILD CARE IS THE ONLY THING PREVENTING A PARENT FROM OBTAINING, KEEPING, OR EXCELLING AT A JOB-WE TAKE THAT OBSTACLE AWAY. FURTHER, WE ARE COMMITTED TO PROVIDING CURRICULUM AND A SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM IN A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT THAT IS STIMULATING, HANDS-ON, AND LINKED TO THE PENNSYLVANIA EARLY LEARNING STANDARDS. WE NURTURE YOUNG LEARNERS WHILE EMPHASIZING SCHOOL-READINESS AND ENGLISH LANGUAGE ACQUISITION.
THE CENTER IS COMMITTED TO PLACING AN IMPORTANCE ON GOOD NUTRITION AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AT OUR CENTER, AS EACH PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN THE EARLY STAGES OF CHILD DEVELOPMENT. A NUTRITIOUS BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND AFTERNOON SNACK ARE INCLUDED IN THE COST OF CARE. OUR GOAL IS TO NOT ONLY PROVIDE THE CHILDREN OF TICK TOCK NUTRITIOUS MEALS EVERYDAY, BUT TO TEACH THEM HOW TO MAKE HEALTHY DECISIONS ON THEIR OWN. WE SERVE A VARIETY OF FRESH FRUIT, VEGETABLES, MEATS, AND GRAINS EACH WEEK GIVING CHILDREN THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCOVER FOODS THEY MAY NOT HAVE ACCESS TO AT HOME. OUR HOPE IS THAT BY DISCOVERING A WIDE VARIETY OF HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS FOODS AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE, THEY WILL BE BETTER PREPARED IN THE FUTURE TO MAKE SMART FOOD CHOICES. TICK TOCK REGULARLY DISTRIBUTES INFORMATION ON HEALTHY EATING, NUTRITION, AND EXCERCISE TO PARENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
