THE LIBRARY IS MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE: EDUCATING, EMPOWERING, AND ENRICHING THE GREATER ELIZABETHTOWN AREA THROUGH THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL, INFORMATIONAL, AND RECREATIONAL BOOKS, RESOURCES, AND PROGRAMS. THE LIBRARY SERVES THE COMMUNITY IN MANY WAYS SUCH AS BEING A LOCAL FARM SHARE CO-OP PICK UP LOCATION, PASSPORT ACCEPTANCE AGENCY, IDENTOGO FINGERPRINTING FBI BACKGROUND CHECK AGENCY, AND MANY OTHER WAYS. WE SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY IN SPECIAL, AS NEEDED, WAYS LIKE THE DISTRIBUTION OF FREE LUNCHES OVER THE SUMMER DURING COVID-19. THE LIBRARY PARTNERS TO ENGAGE THE COMMUNITY IN SPECIAL DOWNTOWN EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES, CONNECTS LOWER-INCOME AND AT-RISK FAMILIES WITH VITAL SERVICES AND TOOLS, AND PROVIDES FULL-LIFE LITERACY DEVELOPMENT TO EVERYONE WHO WALKS IN THE DOORS. MORE THAN 15,000 PEOPLE HAVE ACTIVE LIBRARY CARDS.
