UMFPL PROVIDES SERVICES AND RESOURCES TO MEET THE INFORMATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL NEEDS OF ALL LIBRARY PATRONS. THROUGHOUT 2021 MANY LIBRARY PROGRAMS WERE HELD VIRTUALLY OR MOVED TO OUTDOOR SETTINGS. CHAT SOFTWARE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE UMFPL WEBSITE CONTINUES TO CONNECT PATRONS WITH A LIBRARIAN TO ANSWER QUESTIONS REGARDING REMOTE ACCESS TO LIBRARY MATERIALS. ASYNCHRONOUS PROGRAMS CREATED BY THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF (TAKE HOME KITS TO BE COMPLETED OFF SITE) HAVE ALSO BECOME A PERMANENT PROGRAM OPTION OFFERED TO LIBRARY PATRONS OF ALL AGES. THE LIBRARY REMAINS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK FOR A TOTAL OF 56 PUBLIC HOURS ALLOWING PATRONS TO ATTEND IN-HOUSE PROGRAMS; BROWSE THE COLLECTIONS; USE A PUBLIC COMPUTER; HOLD A MEETING IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM OR SMALL GROUP MEETING ROOM; OR WORK QUIETLY AT A TABLE.
