THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A VARIETY OF SERVICES TO ITS MEMBER LIBRARIES, INCLUDING ELECTRONIC COLLECTIONS, CATALOGING SERVICES, PROFESSIONAL TRAINING, SUPPORT FOR THE INTEGRATED LIBRARY SYSTEM USED BY ALL LIBRARIES, AMONG OTHER SERVICES. BCCLS SUPPORTS APPROXIMATELY 670,000 CARDHOLDERS ACROSS THE FOUR NORTHER NEW JERSEY COUNTIES REPRESENTED BY LIBRARIES AND CIRCULATES APPROXIMATELY 12 MILLION ITEMS PER YEAR. EVERY YEAR, ABOUT HALF A MILLION ITEMS ARE ADDED TO BCCLS COLLECTIONS AND CATALOGED BY THE BCCLS OFFICE. BCCLS ALSO SUPPORTS AND AFFIRMS THE AUTONOMY OF ALL MEMBER LIBRARIES AND THEIR DESIRE TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THEIR DIVERSE COMMUNITIES IN A WIDE VARIETY OF WAYS.
