ALL OF THE MONIES WE RECEIVE AND SPEND ARE USED TO SUPPORT OUR PRIMARY PURPOSE OF PROVIDING 24 HOUR, YEAR ROUND EMERGENCY BASIC LIFE SUPPORT SERVICE ALONG WITH ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (PARAMEDIC) INTERCEPT SERVICE, AS NECESARY, TO OUR COMMUNITY AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. OUR MAJOR COSTS ARE FOR AMBULANCES WE HAVE PURCHASED AND MAINTAIN, LITTERS, PATIENT MOVING EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND A LONG LIST OF MEDICAL SUPPLIES. SPRINGFIELD AMBULANCE CORPS CONTRACTS WITH LOCAL HOSPITALS TO PROVIDE ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT INTERCEPT SERVICE FOR SITUATIONS THAT EXCEED BASIC LIFE SUPPORT NEEDS.
GREG PLANK SCHOLARSHIPS; EACH YEAR, SPRINGFIELD AMBULANCE CORPS SPONSORS A $5,000 SCHOLARSHIP TO BE AWARDED TO A GRADUATING SENIOR FROM SPRINGFIELD HIGH SCHOOL WHO IS PURSUING A MEDICAL CAREER. THE SCHOLARSHIP MONIES ARE DISTRIBUTED TO THE RECIPIENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,250 EACH YEAR FOR 4 YEARS.
