THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO PROVIDE AN INSTRUMENT, THROUGH WHICH THE MEMBERS OF THE ASPHALT INDUSTRY MAY COOR- DINATE THEIR EFFORTS IN THE HANDLING OF MATTERS OF COMMON CONCERN; TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN HIGH STANDARDS OF BUSI- NESS PRACTICES, CUSTOMS AND USAGE AMONG ITS MEMBERS; TO REPRESENT AND ACT FOR ITS MEMBERS BEFORE ALL DIVISIONS OF GOVERNMENT AND BEFORE THOSE ORGANIZATIONS WHOSE WORK AFFECTS ITS MEMBERS, AND IN GENERAL PERFORM SUCH ACTS AND SERVICE FOR ITS MEMBERS WHERE GROUP RATHER THAN INDIVIDUAL ACTION IS A MORE EFFECTIVE METHOD OF PROCEDURE.
