THE BOARD ANNUALLY APPROVES PAYMENT TO JENKINS LAW LIBRARY IN PHILADELPHIA, PA TO PROVIDE ON-LINE LIBRARY SERVICES TO ATTORNEYS, WHO PRACTICE LAW IN THE CITY OF CHESTER, PA. THIS PROGRAM IS ADMINISTERED BY THE DELAWARE COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION.
DURING THE YEAR, THE BOARD APPROVED THE FOLLOWING GRANTS TO THE DELAWARE COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION: 10,000 TO THE ASSOCIATION'S BENCH BAR CONFERENCE TO PAY THE KEYNOTE SPEAKER'S FEE AND EXPENSES AND TO PAY OTHER EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONFERENCE; 10,000 TO HELP SUPPORT THE GENERAL BUDGET OF THE ASSOCIATION; AND 3,500 TO PRESERVE AND MOUNT HISTORIC PICTURES IN THE ASSOCIATION'S HEADQUARTERS.
THE BOARD APPROVED A GRANT OF 10,000 TO SUPPORT THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, WHICH THE DELAWARE COUNTY BAR ASSOCIATION OPERATES THROUGH THE E. WALLACE CHADWICK MEMMORIAL FUND OF THE ASSOCIATION. THE BOARD ALSO APPROVED THE ANNUAL PAYMENT OF 1,000 TO WIDENER UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF LAW FOR 2 PRIZES.
