UPMC HANOVER OPERATES A NOT-FOR PROFIT HOSPITAL WITH SERVICE INCLUDING OBSTETRICS, EMERGENCY, CARDIAC CARE, CRITICAL CARE, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, SURGICAL SERVICES, AND A WIDE RANGE OF CARE SERVICES INCLUDING MEDICAL, SURGICAL, OBSTETRIC/GYNECOLOGICAL, PEDIATRIC AND CRITICAL CARE. OUR MEDICAL SURGICAL UNITS ARE STAFFED IN THREE LOCATIONS, FOR A COMBINED TOTAL OF 60 BEDS. TOTAL PATIENTS DISCHARGED BY THESE UNITS DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021 WERE 3,968. OBSTETRICS/GYNECOLOGY STAFFS A TOTAL OF 18 BEDS AND DISCHARGED 492 PATIENTS. THE PEDIATRIC UNIT IS EQUIPPED WITH 5 BEDS AND HAD 48 PATIENTS DISCHARGED. THERE ARE 10 BEDS IN THE CRITICAL CARE UNIT AND 264 PATIENTS WERE DISCHARGED. THERE WERE 497 DISCHARGES FROM THE NURSERY AND 135 DISCHARGES FROM THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AND OVERFLOW AS WELL. UPMC HANOVER PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF DIAGNOSTIC AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR BOTH INPATIENTS AND OUTPATIENTS. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, LABORATORY, IMAGING SERVICES, CARDIAC SERVICES, TOTAL WOUND CARE SERVICES, HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY, AND OUTPATIENT PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICES. IMAGING SERVICES INCLUDE RADIOLOGY, NUCLEAR MEDICINE, MRI, ULTRASOUND, AND CT SCANNING. CARDIAC SERVICES ARE COMPRISED OF CARDIAC REHAB, DIAGNOSTIC TESTING, CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION, CATHETER CARDIAC INTERVENTION AND PERIPHERAL CATHETER BASED VASCULAR INTERVENTION. UPMC HANOVER PROVIDES FOR PHYSICAL, OCCUPATIONAL AND SPEECH THERAPIES. UPMC HANOVER PROVIDES CARE TO PATIENTS WHO MEET CERTAIN CRITERIA WITHOUT CHARGE OR AT A REDUCED FEE. CHARGES ARE EXCUSED FOR SERVICES RENDERED AND SUPPLIES FURNISHED UNDER THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE POLICY.
