THE CHESTER VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY 1 WAS ESTABLISHED AS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION AND INCORPORATED ON SEPTEMBER 12, 1921 IN THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. THE FIRE COMPANY IS AN ACTIVE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WHICH PROVIDES PROTECTION SERVICES PURSUANT TO AGREEMENTS WITH THE BOROUGH OF CHESTER AND CHESTER TOWNSHIP. THE FIRE COMPANY IS PRIMARILY FUNDED BY AGREEMENTS WITH THE TWO CHESTER MUNICIPALITIES AND PUBLIC DONATIONS.
