THE MEMBERS OF THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF DAUGHTERS OF FOUNDERS AND PATRIOTS OF AMERICA (NSDFPA) SUPPORT HISTORIC PRESERVATION THROUGH AWARDS TO STUDENTS FOR ACHIEVEMENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY AND DONATIONS TOWARDS THE CATHEDRAL OF THE PINES, YORKTOWN ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP AND THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT'S PROJECT. THE NSDFPA PROVIDES THE GOLDEN SHIELD AWARD TO RECIPIENTS IN THE COMMUNITY FOR NOTEWORTHY CONTRIBUTION IN HISTORIC PRESERVATION OR RESTORATION, ARCHEOLOGY, OR PUBLISHED WORKS.
THE NSDFPA PROMOTES PATRIOTISM VIA SERVICE ACADEMY AWARDS FOR AIR FORCE, ARMY, NAVY, COAST GUARD AND MERCHANT MARINE, AND SALE OF ROTC AND JROTC MEDALS FOR PRESENTATION BY CHAPTERS AT LOCAL SCHOOLS.
THE NSDFPA PROMOTES INFORMATION EXCHANGE AND PROVIDES GUIDANCE TO OUR MEMBERS REGARDING THE MISSION OF THE SOCIETY VIA TWO BOARD OF MANAGEMENT MEETINGS AND OUR ANNUAL GENERAL COURT EACH YEAR. REPORTS BY NATIONAL OFFICERS, CHAIRMEN AND CHAPTER PRESIDENTS ARE GIVEN AT THESE MEETINGS TO PROVIDE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WORK OF THE SOCIETY IN THE COMMUNITY AND TO PROVIDE FUTURE GUIDANCE AND IDEAS TO MEET THE SOCIETY'S MISSION.
