SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 2001, THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION HAS DEFINED ITS MISSION, APPROVED OPERATING POLICIES, IDENTIFIED AND ADDED TO A PROSPECTIVE DONOR BASE, DEVELOPED A REMEMBRANCE GIVING PROGRAM, APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED MULTIPLE GRANTS. THE FOUNDATION HAS DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED FIVE ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGNS FOR AREAS IN CLARENDON MEMORIAL SUCH AS, GENERATIONS WOMEN'S CENTER, RADIOLOGY EXPANSION, J DALTON DUBOSE MEDICAL CENTER AND SECURITY DOORS FOR THE HOSPITAL NURSERY FOR LABOR AND DELIVERY. IN ADDITION, A NAMED GIVING CAMPAIGN AND DOCTOR'S DAY CAMPAIGN WERE DEVELOPED. THE FOUNDATION DEVELOPED GIVING OPPORTUNITY THROUGH A SOCIETY GIVING CAMPAIGN AND A GRATEFUL PATIENT PROGRAM. THE EXISTING SPECIAL EVENTS, CYPRESS AFTER FIVE CONCERT SERIES CYPRESS GOLF CLASSIC, REMAINED SUCCESSFUL THUS BUILDING FRIENDS OF THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION. THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION HOSTED SEVERAL HEALTH FAIRS AT THE CYPRESS CENTER IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER CHS DEPARTMENTS, PARTICIPATING IN HEALTH EVENTS OUTSIDE THE WALL OF CLARENDON HEALTH SYSTEM. THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES CONTINUED TO FOCUS ON OPERATIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS. REVIEWED AND EXPANDED DONOR CULTIVATION AND RECOGNITION. THE ANNUAL GIVING AND DOCTOR'S DAY CAMPAIGN WERE CONTINUED. CURRENT SPECIAL EVENTS WERE MONITORED FOR SUCCESS AND PROFITABILITY. CLARENDON HEALTH SYSTEMS AFFILIATED WITH MCLEOD HEALTH IN JULY OF 2016; THEREFORE, ON JULY 12, 2016, THE CYPRESS FOUNDATION WAS DISSOLVED AND ALL FUNDS WERE TRANSFERRED OVER TO MCLEOD FOUNDATION.
