OPERATION OF THE TRENTON MUSIC MAKERS ORCHESTRA, AN EL SISTEMA-INSPIRED YOUTH MUSIC PROGRAM, IN TRENTON, NEW JERSEY. THE TRENTON MUSIC MAKERS ORCHESTRA DEVELOPS MUSICAL SKILL THROUGH AN INTENSIVE FORMAT, AND USES MUSICAL DEVELOPMENT AS A PLATFORM FOR PROMOTING SOCIAL AND ACADEMIC GROWTH, AND LEADERSHIP AND PEACE-BUILDING SKILLS, AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE.
TRENTON CHILDREN'S CHOIR PROVIDES CULTURAL ENRICHMENT AND SELF-DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES TO UNDER-SERVED CHILDREN AND YOUTH FROM K-12TH GRADE IN TRENTON, NJ AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, THROUGH TRADITIONAL CHORAL MUSIC EDUCATION AND PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDING REHEARSAL, MUSIC THEORY INSTRUCTION, TUTORING, HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE AND A GENEROUS HEALTHY SNACKS.
OPERATION OF MUSIC FOR THE VERY YOUNG: MUSIC, MOVEMENT AND LITERACY, IN PRESCHOOLS THROUGHOUT TRENTON AND EWING, NEW JERSEY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES PRESCHOOL MUSIC INSTRUCTION, TEACHER TRAINING IN THE USE OF MUSIC IN THE PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM, AND ENCOURAGES FAMILY ENGAGEMENT IN THEIR CHILDREN'S MUSICAL AND ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT.
