TO PROVIDE SCIENTISTS, CLINICIANS AND TRAINEES WITH THE MOST UP-TO-DATE, RELIABLE RESEARCH AND EDUCATION ON THE BIOLOGY OF THE PITUITARY GLAND AND THE CAUSES, DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF PITUITARY GLAND RELATED DISEASES, IN ORDER TO IMPROVE PATIENT CARE AND TO PROVIDE A UNIQUELY INTERNATIONAL FORUM FOR PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND SCIENTIFIC EXCHANGE.

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION OUTREACH - PUBLICATION OF THE JOURNALS, TITLED "THE PITUITARY". THE SOCIETY PUBLISHES ORIGINAL BASIC AND APPLIED WORK IN THE FIELD OF HYPOTHALAMIC-PITUITARY MOLECULAR BIOLOGY, BIOCHEMISTRY, PATHOPHYSIOLOGY, CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT NEUROSURGERY AND RADIATION THERAPY. THE SOCIETY IS EMBARKING ON A PROFESSIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR PHYSICIANS IN TRAINING AND GRADUATED PROFESSIONALS. INCLUDED IN THIS PROGRAM WILL BE AN ON-LINE COURSE FOR PHYSICIANS IN TRAINING IN THE FIELD OF ENDOCRINOLOGY. THIS TRAINING WILL BE ACCESSIBLE TO THE WHOLE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY WHO MAY NOT OTHERWISE HAVE ACCESS TO THIS EXPERTISE.
BOOKLETS, ARTICLES & WEBSITE - PATIENT EDUCATION. A MAJOR FOCUS OF THE PITUITARY SOCIETY IS PROVIDING INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC ABOUT PITUITARY DISEASES AND DISORDERS. OUR WEBSITE OFFERS INFORMATIVE AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND ARTICLES ABOUT HOW THE PITUITARY GLAND FUNCTIONS, SPECIFIC PITUITARY DISEASES AND THE VARIOUS TREATMENTS AVAILABLE. THE PITUITARY SOCIETY PUTS OUT PATIENT INFORMATION BOOKLETS FOR VARIOUS DISEASES OF THE PITUITARY THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE PITUITARY SOCIETY AND PHYSICIANS WORLDWIDE. THESE BOOKLETS ARE AVAILBLE IN MULTPIPLE LANGUAGES IN ORDER TO REACH A MUCH LARGER PUBLIC SECTOR.
