IN THE 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR LTEF AWARDED GRANTS TOTALING MORE THAN $110,000 FOR INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF TEACHING AND LEARNING IN THE LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT. GRANTS FUNDED INCLUDED A DISTRICT-WIDE EQUITY INITIATIVE FOR $10,000. ANOTHER PROJECT PROVIDED TAKE HOME STEAM KITS FOR HANDS ON AT HOME SCIENCE AND ART LEARNING. ADDITIONALLY SEVERAL SCHOOLS WERE GIVEN FUNDING TO CREATE OR IMPROVE OUTDOOR LEARNING SPACES AND GARDENS. FINALLY STUDENTS ACROSS THE DISTRICT BENEFITED FROM VIRTUAL FIELD TRIPS AND GUEST SPEAKERS AS MUCH OF THE SCHOOL YEAR WAS VIRTUAL.
