THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION'S PROGRAM IS TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AND REMEMBRANCE OF THE VIETNAM WAR. THE EDUCATION CENTER AND MUSEUM ENABLES ALL VISITORS TO LEARN ABOUT THE MYRIAD OF FORCES THAT PRODUCED THE CONFLICT ABROAD AND THE DISSENSION AT HOME. IT COMPLIMENTS THE SOLEMITY OF THE MEMORIAL WITH A DYNAMIC AND LIVELY LEARNING ENVIRONMENT. THE NEW JERSEY VIETNAM VETERANS' MEMORIAL HONORS ALL THOSE WHO SERVED OUR COUNTRY AND STATE DURING THE VIETNAM WAR, ESPECIALLY THE 1,563 NEW JERSEYANS WHO DID NOT RETURN HOME.
