TO MAKE CERTAIN THAT ALL UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS' NEEDS ARE BEING MET BY ACTING AS A STUDENT VOICE FOR THE CAMPUS COMMUNITY, SERVING AS AN OUTLET FOR STUDENT CONCERNS, PROMOTING STUDENT PARTICIPATION IN CAMPUS LIFE, AND INVESTIGATING SOLUTIONS TO VARIOUS ISSUES THAT AFFECT THE CAMPUS AS A WHOLE.

THE ASSOCIATION EMPHASIZES THE NEED FOR DIVERSITY IN ITS RESOURCES AND LEADERSHIP THAT REFLECT THE COMMUNITY AND ITS CAMPUS POPULATION. DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE ASSOCIATION ACCOMMODATED STUDENT LEARNING BY LOBBYING FOR A PASS/NO CREDIT OPTION DURING THE AFFECTED SEMESTERS AND INCREASED STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS. THE FOLLOWING ARE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WORK ACCOMPLISHED DURING THE 2021-2022 ACADEMIC YEAR:THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION HELPED TO SUPPORT STUDENT NEEDS IN THE BEGINNING OF A POST-PANDEMIC OPERATION. SGA ASSISTED WITH THE START OF A GROUP CALLED "PROJECT PERIOD" THAT AIMED TO MAKE MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS MORE ACCESSIBLE TO STUDENTS. ADDITIONALLY, THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE CREATED THE ROLE TITLED ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT OF HEALTH WELLNESS AND SAFETY. THIS POSITION OVERSEES THE CONNECTIONS WITH THE STUDENTS AND THE WELLNESS CENTER AND PUBLIC SAFETY. SGA CONTINUED TO SUPPORT PHASE 3 OF THE MEDITATION WALK PROJECT. LASTLY, SGA SUPPORTED THE CREATION OF 10 NEW CHARTERED STUDENT CLUBS.
