THE EPILEPSY FOUNDATION OF CONNECTICUT: PROVIDED INFORMATION I.E. BROCHURES, MEDICATION INFORMATION, LEGAL RIGHTS, ADVOCACY, ETC. TO 524 CLIENTS. CONDUCTED 51 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT SERVED 900 PARTICIPANTS INCLUDING SCHOOL NURSES, ALLIED HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, TEACHERS, CAMP COUNSELORS, LIFEGUARDS, EARLY CHILDCARE EDUCATORS, OTHER AGENCY AND EMPLOYEE TRAINING, SENIOR CITIZENS, TRANSIT COMPANIES, ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS, MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, POLICE OFFICERS, AND FIRST RESPONDERS. HOSTED 5 EDUCATIONAL WEBINARS WITH PROFESSIONALS PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT VARIOUS EPILEPSY RELATED TOPICS. SUCCESSFULLY ADVOCATED FOR EMERGENCY LEGISLATION EXPANDING ACCESS TO AND REIMBURSEMENT OF TELEHEALTH SERVICES DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC. SPONSORED A CAMPING PROGRAM FOR 11 CHILDREN AND TEENS WITH EPILEPSY. MANAGED A PARENT & FAMILY TELEPHONE SUPPORT NETWORK. MANAGED A FRIEND TO FRIEND TELEPHONE SUPPORT NETWORK. SPONSORED 5 VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUPS THROUGHOUT CONNECTICUT, SERVING 50 PEOPLE MONTHLY. PROVIDED TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE FOR CLIENTS WITH EPILEPSY. OFFERED THE HALYN MURTHA FAMILY ASSISTANCE FUND TO HELP PEOPLE WITH EPILEPSY IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO COVER THE COST OF EPILEPSY TREATMENT, AND CARE SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONDITION. ENROLLED 12 CLIENTS IN THE HOBSCOTCH MEMORY & COGNITION PROGRAM. ENROLLED 15 CLIENTS IN PROJECT UPLIFT PROGRAM THAT IMPROVED MENTAL HEALTH THROUGH MINDFULNESS AND COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL SKILLS.
