THERAPY DOGS INTERNATIONAL'S PURPOSE IS THE TESTING, REGISTRATION, AND REGULATION OF QUALIFIED DOGS AND THEIR VOLUNTEER HANDLERS FOR THE PURPOSE OF VISITATIONS TO HOSPITALS, NATURAL OR MANMADE DISASTER SITES AND WHEREVER ELSE THERAPY DOGS MAY BE NEEDED TO PROVIDE EMOTIONAL THERAPY. THE ORGANIZATION'S "TAIL WAGGIN" TUTORIAL PROGRAM HELPS THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN LEARN TO READ. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION'S DISASTER STRESS RELIEF PROGRAM IS INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING PEOPLE WITH HIGHLY TRAINED DISASTER STRESS RELIEF DOGS FOLLOWING A DISASTER WHETHER IT IS MANMADE OR NATURAL. ALL VISITATIONS ARE ON A VOLUNTER BASIS AND THERE IS NEVER A CHARGE FOR A VISIT.
