NURSING CARE - CARE PROVIDED 24 HOURS A DAY, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, 365 DAYS A YEAR. CARE IS GIVEN PRIMARILY TO GERIATRIC PATIENTS ADMITTED TO THE 180 BED NURSING FACILITY. PATIENT DAYS TOTALED 30,953 IN 2021.THE MAJORITY OF THE PATIENTS AT THE FACILITY ARE INSURED UNDER MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS, SUCH AS THE STATE ADMINISTERED MEDICAID PROGRAM. REIMBURSEMENT FOR THESE PROGRAMS IS LESS THAN THE COST OF THE SERVICES PROVIDED TO THE PATIENT. ADDITIONALLY, THE FACILITY PROVIDED CHARITY CARE FOR PATIENTS WHO HAD NO INSURANCE AND WERE UNABLE TO PAY. THE VALUE OF THOSE SERVICES EXCEEDED $491,820 IN 2021.
