THE IROQUOIS INDIAN MUSEUM IS AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTOIN DEDICATED TO FOSTERING UNDERSTANDING OF THE IROQUOIS CULTURE USING IROQUOIS ART AS A WINDOW TO THAT CULTURE. THE MUSEUM IS A VENUE FOR PROMOTING IROQUOIS ART AND ARTISTS, AND A MEETING PLACE FOR ALL PEOPLE TO CELEBRATE.

THE MUSEUM IS COMPOSED OF THE FOLLOWING - MUSEUM BUILDING, STORAGE BARN, NATURE PARK AND OUTDOOR AMPHITHEATER. THE GOAL OF THE MUSEUM IS TO HAVE THE BEST COLLECTION OF MODERN IROQUOIS CREATIVITY: FINE ARTS, TRADITIONAL AND MODERN CRAFTS, PHOTOGRAPHY AND MULTI-MEDIA. THE NATURE PARK IS COMPOSED OF 45 ACRES AND IS USED TO INTRODUCE VISITORS TO THE IROQUOIS VIEW OF NATURE - OUR MOTHER THE EARTH, OUR ELDER BROTHER THE SUN AND GRANDFATHERS THE THUNDERERS, AND OUR THREE SISTERS, THE EARTH AS TURTLE ISLAND AND THE NINE CLAN ANIMALS. THE AMPHITHEATER IS USED FOR IROQUOIS SOCIAL DANCING, STORY TELLING, TALKS AND VARIOUS PERFORMING ARTS.
