PROTECTION OF LIFE AND PROPERTY - HOLLAND FIRE RESPONDED TO 123 INCIDENTS AS DISPATCHED BY HUNTERDON COUNTY COMMUNICATIONS. THESE INCLUDE MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS, SEARCH AND RESCUE, ALARM ACTIVATION, CHIMNEY FIRES, AND STRUCTURE FIRES. WE PREPARE FOR THESE INCIDENTS BY CONDUCTING VARIOUS DRILL'S AND TRAINING EXERCISES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND MAINTAINING OUR EQUIPMENT AND APPARATUS.
FIRE SAFETY - HOLLAND FIRE PROVIDES FIRE SAFETY AND EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS AT THE TOWNSHIP'S ANNUAL COMMUNITY DAY CELEBRATION. WE INCLUDE LINKS TO VARIOUS OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SITES FOR INFORMATION ON SAFETY AND PREPAREDNESS ON OUR WEBSITE. THE FIRE COMPANY IS AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN PLANNING, DRILLS AND MEETINGS OF OUR LOCAL OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT. WE PROVIDE SPEAKERS AND DEMOSTRATIONS TO MANY CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS REGARDING HOME AND PERSONAL SAFETY.
FIRE PREVENTION - HOLLAND FIRE SPONSORED AN OPEN HOUSE AT OUR STATION DURING FIRE PREVENTION WEEK. DUE TO COVID-19 WE VIRTUALLY VISITED LOCAL SCHOOLS AND PRE-SCHOOLS TO DEMOSTRATE OUR EQUIPTMENT AND APPARATUS.
