OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL SOCIETY WAS FOUNDED IN 1875 AND WAS ESTABLISHED FOR THE PUBLIC DEMONSTRATION OF DEVOTION TO OUR LADY OF MT. CARMEL THROUGH PERPETUALIZING AN ANNUAL PROCESSION AND CELEBRATION IN HER HONOR DURING THE WEEK OF THE 16TH OF JULY; TO PROMOTE RELIGIOUS THEMES OF THE SOCIETY AND PROMOTE, FOSTER, AND CONTRIBUTE TOWARD BROTHERHOOD, FELLOWSHIP AND HARMONY WITH FELLOW MEMBERS AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY; TO DEVELOP PRODUCTIVE AND EFFECTIVE SOCIETY GOALS, EFFORTS, AND FUNDRAISING PROGRAMS TO MAINTAIN THE TRADITION UPON WHICH THE SOCIETY WAS FOUNDED. THE NET PROCEEDS FROM FUNDRAISING WILL BE DONTAED TO THE LOCAL CHURCHES, SCHOOL, COMMUNITY CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS, ATHLETIC LEAGUES, AND OTHER CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS, AND INDIVIDUALS.
