MUSEUM COLLECTIONS AND HISTORIC HOME PRESERVATION - THE ASSOCIATION HOLDS A COLLECTION OF OVER 30,000 OBJECTS RELATING TO MONMOUTH COUNTY LIFE SINCE THE 1600'S. ADDITIONALLY, THE ASSOCIATION OWNS 4 HISTORIC HOMES WHICH IT PRESERVES AND HOLDS OPEN FOR PUBLIC VISITS AND TOURS AS WELL AS A HISTORIC BUILDING THAT HOUSES THE MUSEUM, ARCHIVES AND RESEARCH LIBRARY.
EDUCATION THE ASSOCIATION OFFERS A WIDE ARRAY OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO BRING MONMOUTH COUNTY HISTORY TO LIFE. THESE INCLUDE SCHOOL PROGRAMS TAILORED TO MEET NEW JERSEYS CORE CURRICULUM STANDARDS AS WELL AS LECTURES, DEMONSTRATIONS AND PROGRAMS FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
RESEARCH LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES THE ASSOCIATION HAS EXTENSIVE ARCHIVAL MATERIALS, ORGANIZED INTO MORE THAN 1,200 COLLECTIONS PERTAINING TO MONMOUTH COUNTY INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, BUSINESSES, ORGANIZATIONS, MUNICIPALITIES, INDUSTRIES, AND EVENTS. IT OPERATES A RESEARCH LIBRARY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ALSO MAINTAINS AN ONLINE CATALOG.
