SHARING HOPE MINISTRIES, INC. IS AN ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO WORKING AMONG PEOPLE WHOSE LIVES HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY NATURAL DISASTER, POVERTY, DISEASE AND FAMINE. THE ORGANIZATION RESPONDS TO NATURAL DISASTERS BY SENDING VOLUNTEER WORK CREWS TO REBUILD HOMES, HOPE AND LIVES. SHARING HOPE SERVES AS A CHANNEL FOR CHURCHES, COMMUNITY GROUPS AND MISSION GROUPS IN THEIR EFFORTS TO PROVIDE FOOD, HEALTH CARE, EDUCATION AND SHELTER TO AFFECTED COMMUNITIES. SHARING HOPE MINISTRIES, INC. PROVIDES VOLUNTEER GROUPS TO COMMUNITIES IN CRISIS.

DISASTER RELIEF: WAVERLY, TENNESSEE: IN AUGUST 2021 HEAVY RAINFALL RESULTED IN WIDESPREAD FLASH FLOODING ACROSS MID-WESTERN TENNESSEE. THE RURAL COMMUNITY OF WAVERLY WAS CATASTROPHIC. SHM SET UP OPERATION IN WAVERLY IN DECEMBER 2021. IN 2022 WORK CONTINUED. 280 VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED 11,805 HOURS OF SERVICE. 19 HOME OWNERS HAD HOMES RESTORED.


INTERNATIONAL ASSISTANCE: DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: THE CHILD SPONSORSHIP CONTINUED. 170 CHILDREN PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM. CHILDREN ATTEND CHURCH ON SUNDAYS. BIBLE STORIES, CRAFT PROJECT, MENTORING AND LIFE SKILLS CLASSES ARE AVAILABLE. THE SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES BACKPACKS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, SHOES AND A UNIFORM ARE DISTRIBUTED TO EACH CHILD. A CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION IS PROVIDED. PASTOR LUIS AND STAFF DELIVERED FOOD AND MEDICINE TO CHILDREN WHOSE FAMILIES WERE IN NEED. THE SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM CHILDREN ATTEND THE PRIVATE SCHOOL RUN BY THE CHURCH FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN. HAITI: MONEY WAS PROVIDED TO CHARTER A PLANE TO DELIVER MUCH NEEDED FOOD AND SUPPLEIS IN THE NW AREA OF HAITI. CIVIL UNREST AND GANGS MAKE IT VERY DIFFICULT FOR SIMPLE BASIC NECESSITIES TO REACH MORE REMOTE AREA.
