THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER AND THEIR FAMILIES BY COMPASSIONATE SUPPORT PROGRAMS WHILE ADVOCATING FOR INCREASED RESEARCH FUNDS AND RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH DIRECT RESEARCH DOLLARS, QUARTERLY FAMILY OUTINGS, THE ST. BALDRICK'S EVENT, THE ADOPT A FAMILY PROGRAM AND DIRECT ADVOCACY RELATING TO THE IMPORTANCE OF CHILDHOOD CANCER ISSUES.
FAMILY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - ASSISTS FAMILIES WITH EVERYDAY COSTS SUCH AS HOUSEHOLD LIVING EXPENSES, MORTGAGE PAYMENTS, RENT, FOOD, UTILITIES, TRAVEL EXPENSES RELATED TO TREATMENT, MEDICAL EXPENSES, INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLES, UNCOVERED PROCEDURES AND ADDITIONAL EXPENSES THAT THE FAMILY MIGHT NEED ASSISTANCE WITH DURING A CHILD'S TREATMENT AND FOLLOW UP CARE.
THE INSPIRE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO YOUNG ADULTS AS THEY RECEIVE CANCER TREATMENT, SURVIVE CANCER, PURSUE HIGHER EDUCATION AND SEEK TO RETURN TO A SENSE OF NORMALCY IN THEIR LIVES.
ADOPT-A-FAMILY PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE RELIEF TO FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN TREATMENT DURING THE HOLIDAYS BY PROVIDING GIFTS FOR THE FAMILIES' CHILDREN.
