ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM FOR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS. THE PURPOSE OF THESYMPOSIUM IS TO EDUCATE PHYSICIANS AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALSINVOLVED IN THE CARE OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH CONGENITAL ANDSTRUCTURAL HEART DISEASE IN THE LATEST ADVANCES IN THE FIELD OFINTERVENTIONAL THERAPIES FOR CONGENITAL AND STRUCTURAL HEARTDEFECTS. THE MAIN ACTIVITY OF THE FOUNDATION IS AN ANNUALEDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE.


MEMBERSHIP DUES. PICS SOCIETY. THE MISSION OF THE PICS SOCIETY IS TO PROMOTE THE HIGHEST QUALITY CARE GLOBALLY FOR INFANTS, CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE THROUGH MINIMALLY INVASIVE TECHNIQUES AND TO FURTHER KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF ALL INVOLVED, FOSTERING RESEARCH, EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY. AMONG THE MANY GOALS OF THE SOCIETY ARE PROMOTING EARLY CAREER DEVELOPMENT; ADVOCATING FOR PATIENTS; ENGAGING NURSES, TECHNOLOGISTS & OTHER MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS; EXPANDING EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS; AND ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES FOR QUALITY IN THE FIELD.
