THE ENTITY PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO HELP YOUNG ADULTS TO LEARN ABOUT THE CATTLE AND LIVESTOCK BUSINESS AND TO PROMOTE THEIR INTEREST AND EXPERIENCE IN THESE CAREERS, FARMS AND RELATED BUSINESS OR ACTIVITIES. THE TYPICAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS A HEIFER EACH SEASON TO ONE OR MORE STUDENTS. THE STUDENT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CARE, MAINTENANCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF THAT HEIFER FOR EITHER SHOW, BREEDING OR COMMERICAL PURPOSES.
