SUMMER LEARING PROGRAM - THE CUMBERLAND COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM IS A SERIES OF EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO FOSTER A LOVE OF READING AND TO DEVELOP OR ENHANCE READING, WRITING, AND LEARNING SKILLS.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT - IN ORDER TO MEET STATE STANDARDS IN THE PA LIBRARY CODE, ALL STAFF ACROSS THE LIBRARY SYSTEM MUST MEET CONTINUING EDUCATION MINIMUM HOURS. DR. STEVEN ALBRECHT IS A NATIONALLY KNOWN SPEAKER ON LIBRARY SAFETY AND SECURITY AND PROVIDED A WORKSHOP FOR APPROXIMATELY 120 STAFF.
OVERDRIVE E-BOOKS PROGRAM - THE CUMBERLAND COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM FOUNDATION SUPPORTS THE PURCHASE OF E-BOOKS AND AUDIOBOOKS VIA OVERDRIVE, MAKING ELECTRONIC READING MATERIALS AVAILABLE TO LIBRARY PATRONS FROM ANYWHERE, AS LONG AS THEY HAVE A LIBRARY CARD AND AN INTERNET CONNECTION.
SERVICE TO ADULT READERS (STAR) PROGRAM PROVIDES HOMEBOUND ADULTS WITH FREE, PERSONALIZED SELECTION AND DELIVERY OF REGULAR PRINT BOOKS, AUDIOBOOKS, MUSIC, CDS, DVDS AND PRE-LOADED KINDLE E-READERS AND TABLETS.
