THE GLACIER HILLS FOUNDATION WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2006 AND IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RECEIVING AND ADMINISTERING GIFTS THAT FUND PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS BEYOND THAT WHICH OPERATIONS SUPPORT. IT DOES THIS THROUGH SENSITIVE AND PROFESSIONAL SOLICITATIONS, RESPONSIBLE AND WISE MANAGEMENT OF FUNDS, AND GUARANTEEING THAT FUNDS ARE USED AS ORIGINALLY INTENDED BY THE DONORS. KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE FOUNDATION:SINCE INCEPTION OF THE FOUNDATION, OVER 1400 DONORS HAVE MADE GIFTS, 448 ARE ACTIVE WITHIN THE LAST THREE YEARS. SOME REPRESENTATIVE BANNER PROJECTS OF THE FOUNDATION OF LATE INCLUDE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, THE HEALTH CLINIC, AND THE WELLNESS GARDEN. THE FOUNDATION AWARDS FUNDS FOR PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS ANNUALLY AND THROUGH MULTI-YEAR GRANTS. IN THE MOST RECENT FISCAL YEAR, THE AMOUNT AWARDED TO PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS ACROSS CAMPUS THAT BENEFITTED RESIDENTS AND COLLEAGUES WAS OVER $370,000. OVER THE LAST FOUR YEARS, THE FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTED FUNDS OF OVER $2,300,000 TO PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS THAT ENHANCE THE LIFE OF RESIDENTS AND EMPLOYEES AT GLACIER HILLS.SOME REPRESENTATIVE PROGRAMS INCLUDE SUPPORT FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER TUITION, LIFE ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS, ART AND MUSIC THERAPY, ESTABLISING A ZEN GARDEN ON THE ROOFTOP OF THE MANOR, RESIDENT TRANSPORTATION SUPPORT, ART ACROSS CAMPUS PROGRAMS INCLUDING ESTABLISHING AN ART GALLERY AND ACQUIRING NEW ART FOR DISPLAY, SUPPORT FOR AN ON-CAMPUS ART COORDINATOR, EQUIPMENT FOR WELLNESS CONNECTION, SUPPORT FOR COLLEAGUE SPECIALIZED EDUCATION, AND MORE. IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE, THE FOUNDATION HAS AWARDED 441 SCHOLARSHIPS TO COLLEAGUES SINCE 2007 FOR A VALUE OF $662,007. CURRENTLY, 18 NAMED SCHOLARSHIPS EXIST WITHIN THE FOUNDATION. ANNUALLY, THE FOUNDATION AWARDS APPROXIMATELY $50,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS. THE FOUNDATION HAS A PLANNED GIVING PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR DONORS TO MAKE DEFERRED GIFTS IN THE FORM OF CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES, CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUSTS, IRA ROLL-OVERS, ASSIGNMENT OF REFUNDABLE ENTRANCE FEES, AND OTHER BEQUESTS.
