THE KERMIT VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED UPON TO ASSIST IN EXCESS OF 143 FIRE-FIGHTING AND/OR RESCUE EFFORTS IN AND AROUND THE CITY OF KERMIT, TEXAS.
CONTRIBUTIONS TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT SHARE IN THE MISSION OF GETTING OUT THE MESSAGE OF FIRE SAFETY AND THE ASSISTANCE TO FIRE VICTIMS. IT INCLUDES A JOINT FUNDRAISING VENTURE CALLED THE "FILL THE BOOT" PROGRAM WHERE FIREFIGHTERS RAISE MONEY FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND A PORTION IS CONTRIBUTED TO THE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN NEED WHO MAY BE VICTIMS OF FIRE DAMAGE.
