Part 3 - Line 4a
SUMMIT CLASSICAL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL BEGAN THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR IN A NEW BUILDING WITH A NEW HEAD OF SCHOOLS AND MANY NEW FAMILIES AS A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY. DR. GREG FORREST COMPLETED HIS FIRST YEAR WITH SUMMIT AND WORKED WITH THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND A TEAM OF CONSULTANTS THROUGH INTO A TIME OF TRANSITION FROM BEING AN OPERATIONAL BOARD TO BEING AN OVERSIGHT BOARD. THEY ALSO RE-EVALUATED AND RE-DEFINED THE VISION FOR OUR SCHOOL.A SIGNIFICANT ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS THE GROWTH BY 49 STUDENTS, FROM 181 STUDENTS IN 2021-2022 TO 230 STUDENTS ENROLLED FOR FALL 2022. THIS WAS THE RESULT OF HARD WORK BY OUR STAFF AND A POSITIVE REPUTATION IN OUR COMMUNITY AS A PLACE FOR FAMILIES LOOKING FOR A SCHOOL TO PARTNER WITH FOR A CLASSICAL CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR THEIR CHILDREN. THE YEAR FINISHED WITH ANTICIPATION OF OPENING CLASSES AT A SECOND SITE, A CAMP DOWN THE ROAD FROM OUR CURRENT CHURCH BUILDING, CALVARY CHAPEL EASTSIDE. IT ALSO FINISHED WITH THE HIRING OF 25 NEW STAFF MEMBERS TO ACCOMMODATE CURRENT GROWTH WHILE PREPARING FOR FUTURE GROWTH. ANOTHER POINT OF ANTICIPATION AT THE END OF THE YEAR WAS THE PENDING START OF THE FIRST EVER SUMMIT ATHLETIC PROGRAMS THE FOLLOWING YEAR.
