THE TARLOV CYST DISEASE FOUNDATION'S MISSION OF PATIENT ADVOCACY, EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INCREASED CONSIDERABLY DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC FROM PATIENTS ALL OVER THE WORLD. THE FOUNDATION WEBSITE WAS TRANSLATED INTO MORE THAN 140 LANGUAGES TO PROVIDE TRANSLATIONS NEEDED FOR INFORMATION IN THEIR NATIVE LANGUAGE.PATIENT SURVEYS, PHONE CALLS AND E-MAILS INCREASED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR FROM HUNDREDS OF PATIENTS SEEKING INFORMATION AND SUPPORT TO FIND HELP FOR THEIR RARE AND DIFFICULT DIAGNOSIS, SINCE THERE ARE VERY FEW PHYSICIANS WHO HAVE KNOWLEDGE AND CLINICAL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS RARE SPINAL NERVE PATHOLOGY.THE FOUNDATION'S CONTINUING RESEARCH COLLABORATION WITH THE RESEARCHERS WE HAVE FUNDED AT HARVARD/MASS GENERAL, JOHNS HOPKINS, RUTGERS UNIVERSITY, AND ONTARIO CANADA IS PROVIDING PROGRESS, WONDERFUL COMMUNICATION AND TEAM EFFORTS. THIS COMMUNICATION AND COLLABORATION ALSO INCLUDES THE SMALL NUMBER OF NEUROSURGEONS WHO HAVE EXPERTISE IN TARLOV PERINEURAL CYSTS AND ITS TREATMENT.
