IEA'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE LIFELONG INVOLVEMENT IN EQUESTRIAN ATHLETICS. IEA WISHES TO INTRODUCE STUDENTS IN GRADES 4-8 (FUTURE) AND 9-12 (UPPER SCHOOL) TO EQUESTRIAN SPORTS AND TO DEVELOP UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF EQUESTRIAN SPORTS THROUGH ORGANIZED COMPETITIONS AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. IEA FURTHER WISHES TO INSPIRE AND FACILITATE ADULTS TO CONTINUE THEIR JOURNEY IN EQUESTRIAN ATHLETICS FOR A LIFETIME.

Part 3 - Line 4a

IEA IS ORGANIZED TO PROMOTE AND EXPAND ACCESS TO QUALITY TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL EQUESTRIAN COMPETITION AND INSTRUCTION. ITS PURPOSE SHALL BE TO SET STANDARDS FOR COMPETITION; TO PROVIDE INFORMATION CONCERNING THE CREATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF EQUESTRIAN SPORT PROGRAMS; TO PROMOTE THE COMMON INTERESTS OF SAFE RIDING INSTRUCTION; AND TO EDUCATE ON MATTERS RELATED TO HORSEMANSHIP AT THE PRE-COLLEGIATE LEVEL.


INTERSCHOLASTIC EQUESTRIAN ASSOCIATION AIMS TO DEVELOP UNDERSTANDING, APPRECIATION, AND PARTICIPATION IN EQUESTRIAN SPORTS THROUGH ORGANIZED COMPETITIONS AND ADDITIONAL EQUINE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. DURING FY 22-23, OUR ORGANIZATION HOSTED 1028 SHOWS. WE SHOWED AN ADDITIONAL INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP ENDING AT A TOTAL MEMBER COUNT OF 14,599.


THE IEA BEGAN WORK IN SEVERAL NEW AREAS IN FY 22-23. WE RESTRUCTURED OUR STAFFING, INCLUDING DOWNSIZING OUR PHYSICAL OFFICE SPACE AND CREATING A NEW POSITION FOR A DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO BEGIN EXPANSION OF OUR FUNDRAISING AND DONATION OPPORTUNITIES. WE ALSO BEGAN AN "ADULT PILOT PROGRAM" TO OFFER OUR UNIQUE, DRAW-BASED FORMAT TO A NEW DEMOGRAPHIC OF PARTICIPANTS (PARTICULARLY PARENTS/FAMILIES OF OUR YOUTH PARTICIPANT THAT HAD EXPRESSED A DESIRE TO BE MORE ACTIVELY INVOLVED). WE ALSO INITIATED A PROJECT TO ENHANCE, UPDATE AND IMPROVE OUR TECHNOLOGY PLATFORMS.
