AT PANORAMA POINT, THE NEBRASKA HIGHPOINT, THE FOUNDATION FUNDED ACCESS ROAD IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FINAL QUARTER MILE OF THE 1.3 MILE ROAD TO HIGH GROUND. GRAVEL WAS BROUGHT IN AND SMOOTHED, AND CRUSHED RECYCLED CONCRETE WAS LAID IN A ONE HUNDRED FOOT SQUARE PAD AT THE PARKING AREA OF THE ACTUAL SUMMIT.
AT BAXTER STATE PARK SURROUNDING KATAHDIN IN MAINE, THE FOUNDATION FUNDED TWO LOCAL STUDENTS AS FELLOWS OF THE FREINDS OF BAXTER STATE PARK TO CONDUCT RESEARCH IN THE PARK NEAR KATAHDIN. THE TWO STUDENTS SPENT THE SUMMER OF 2022 CONDUCTING SIGNIFICANT RESEARCH TO SUPPORT THE AREA SURROUNDING THE HIGHPOINT.
