SUPPORTED THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS BY PROVIDING 2 SMART TECHNOLOGY BOARDS FOR CLASSROOMS (BENEFITS 800-900 CHILDREN), 42 POINT TO VIEW USB DOCUMENT CAMERAS FOR ALL SCHOOL CLASSROOMS (BENEFITS 800-900 CHILDREN), PRINTER INK FOR KINDER AND FIRST GRADE (BENEFITS 250-300 CHILDREN) AND CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT AND BEAUTIFICATION OF THE LANDSCAPING NEAR THE ENTRY OF THE SCHOOL. THE WORK WAS A JOINT COMMUNITY EFFORT WITH GIRL SCOUTS AND A YOUTH GROUP (BENEFITS THE CHILDREN, SCHOOL, AND LOCAL COMMUNITY). PROVIDED A SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY LITERACY EVENT WITH THE AID OF SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR, WITH THE PURPOSE OF RAISING FUNDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT AND UPGRADE OF LIBRARY AND CLASSROOM READING MATERIAL AND TECHNOLOGY (SCHOOL & COMMUNITY BENEFITS). PTA PROVIDED CONTINUING EDUCATION TO BOARD MEMBERS THROUGH AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE CLASSES (OUR SCHOOL IS THE REGIONAL SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF), LEADERSHIP ORIENTATION TRAINING (PREPARES NEW BOARD MEMBERS TO UNDERSTAND THE HISTORY AND GOALS OF PTA), SUMMER LEADERSHIP SEMINAR (2-DAY INTENSIVE TRAINING FOR INCOMING EXECUTIVE BOARD MEMBERS), MENTORSHIP, CAMPUS & COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT (WATCH DOGS), LOCAL COUNCIL DUES, MEMBERSHIP SUPPLIES & INCENTIVES.
