IS A CORPORATION THAT WAS AUTHORIZED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 20, 2005 FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF CREATING AFFORDABLE HOUSING, AND IS CURRENTLY THE ONLY OXNARD BASED NON-PROFIT THAT PRODUCES AFFORDABLE HOUSING. LAS CORTES, INC. IS INVOLVED IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THREE AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROJECTS; LAS CORTES, WHICH IS THE DEMOLITION AND REPLACEMENT OF 260 PUBLIC HOUSING UNITS; PASEO NUEVO, A 72 UNIT AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING PROJECT LOCATED IN THE CYPRESS NEIGHBORHOOD; AND TERRAZA DE LAS CORTES, A 64 UNIT AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING PROJECT LOCATED ON CARMELITA COURT IN OXNARD.
