NORTHWEST ARKANSAS EQUALITY'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE PROGRAMMING, EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY TO SERVE, CONNECT, AND EMPOWER THE LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSGENDER AND QUEER COMMUNITY.

NWA EQUALITY IS ONE OF THE REGION'S ONLY PROVIDERS OF FREE HIV TESTING AND PREVENTION PROGRAMMING, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCE NAVIGATION FOR LGBTQ PEOPLE, AND THE PROVIDER OF LGBTQ-SPECIFIC PEER COUNSELING SERVICES. NWA EQUALITY CREATES COMMUNITY BY ORGANIZING SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, SPORTING EVENTS, FAMILY-FRIENDLY OUTINGS, AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR LGBTQ INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, AND ALLIES. NWA EQUALITY FIGHTS TO ADVANCE CIVIL RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS FOR LGBTQ PEOPLE THROUGH EDUCATION, ADVOCACY, POLICY INITIATIVES, AND QUALITY-OF-LIFE- ENHANCING PROGRAMMING. WE PROVIDE COUNTLESS HEALTH, LEGAL, FINANCIAL, AND HOUSING REFERRALS, AND RESOURCES TO LGTBQ ARKANSANS. NWA EQUALITY PROMOTES LGBTQ VISIBILITY, AWARENESS, AND EDUCATION IN THE MEDIA AND MANAGE EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION WITH THE PUBLIC THROUGH NEWSLETTERS, WEBSITES, SOCIAL MEDIA, ETC. NWA PRIDE-WE ORGANIZE ARKANSAS' LARGEST LGBTQ ACTIVATION, FESTIVAL, AND PARADE THAT PROMOTES LGBTQ VISIBILITY AND EXPRESSION IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT, PROTESTS AGAINST INEQUALITY, PROVIDES EDUCATION TO LEARN ABOUT OUR HISTORY, AND CELEBRATES THE MULTI-FACETED EXPRESSIONS OF OUR DIVERSE LGBTQ CULTURE. RAINBOW THANKSGIVING-A COLLABORATION WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS, RAINBOW THANKSGIVING PROVIDES COMMUNITY AND PRIVATE MEALS TO OVER 300 PEOPLE. DUE TO COVID-19, WE PERSEVERED AND RETOLED SO WE COULD FEED 200 MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY WITH TO-GO THANKSGIVING MEALS.
