PROFITS FROM RUNNING THE PGA TOUR'S HONDA CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT ARE DONATED TO VARIOUS 501(C)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY.
BIRDIES FOR CHILDREN ALLOWS LOCAL CHARITIES TO TEAM UP WITH THE HONDA CLASSIC. THE LOCAL CHARITIES ACCEPT DONATIONS FROM THEIR DONOR BASE, WHILE THE LOCAL CHARITY RECEIVES 100% OF THE PROCEEDS PLUS A 5% MATCHING DONATION COURTESY OF THE HONDA CLASSIC. THE ORGANIZATION WORKED WITH 79 PARTICIPATING CHARITIES, WHICH SOLICITED PLEDGES ALLOWING DONORS TO GUESS THE NUMBER OF BIRDIES AT THE 2022 HONDA CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT.
THE JUNIOR HONDA CLASSIC IS A PREMIER COMPETITIVE AND DEVELOPMENTAL GOLF EXPERIENCE WHICH PERPETUATES THE GROWTH OF THE GAME INITIATIVES. YOUNG PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND SKILL LEVELS COMPETE AGAINST GOLFERS FROM OVER 23 STATES AND 13 FOREIGN COUNTRIES. OVER 249 YOUNG PEOPLE FROM 6 TO 18 YEARS OF AGE COMPETED IN THE 2022 JUNIOR HONDA CLASSIC. THE EVENT PROVIDES A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AS IT IS MODELED AFTER THE PGA TOUR EVENT AND CATERS TO BEGINNERS AND COMPETITIVE JUNIORS ALIKE. NET REVENUES FROM THE EVENT ARE DONATED TO LOCAL CHARITIES.
