SOCCER: A RECREATION, COMPETITIVE TRAVEL, TOPS, AND SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM FOR SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN (4-17) FROM PALM BEACH GARDENS AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. THE PROGRAM SERVES APPROXIMATELY 1,100 RECREATION PLAYERS IN EACH SPRING AND FALL SEASON, 600 COMPETITIVE PLAYERS, 200 SUMMER CAMP, AND 80 TOPS PLAYERS. THE TOPS PROGRAM IS A 10-WEEK PROGRAM HELPING CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES LEARN THE FUNDAMENTALS OF SOCCER FROM SPECIALIZED COACHES AND "BUDDIES" IN A FUN AND SAFE ENVIRONMENT. THE SOCCER CLUB ALSO HOSTS A COMPETITIVE TRAVEL TOURNAMENT SERVING APPROXIMATELY 260 IN-STATE AND SOME OUT-OF-STATE TEAMS. THE RECREATION PROGRAM HOSTS A "KICKFORTHECURE" WEEKEND EACH OCTOBER DONATING AND MATCHING PROCEEDS TO LOCAL BREAST CANCER CHARITIES. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO COLLEGE BOUND PARTICIPANTS EVERY YEAR.
BASEBALL: PROVIDES RECREATION, TRAVEL, ALL-STAR AND TOURNAMENT BASEBALL EDUCATION AND PLAY FOR SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN (4-15) OF PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. THE PROGRAM SERVES APPROXIMATELY 400 CHILDREN IN FALL, 560 CHILDREN IN SPRING, AND 120 IN THE SUMMER. THE PROGRAM HOSTS 4-5 TOURNAMENTS PER YEAR SERVING APPROXIMATELY 150 TEAMS OF 12-13 PLAYERS EACH TEAM, WITH TEAMS COMPRISED OF PLAYERS FROM ACROSS THE STATE AND THE SOUTHEAST REGION. THE BASEBALL PROGRAM HAS TEAMED UP WITH THE MIRACLE LEAGUE OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, PARTICIPATING IN EXHIBITION GAMES TO ALLOW CHILDREN TO PLAY BASEBALL REGARDLESS OF ABILITY.
BASKETBALL: THE BASKETBALL PROGRAM SERVES 500 LOCAL YOUTHS, BOTH MALE AND FEMALE. IT IS PRIMARILY A RECREATION SPORT, BUT A MORE COMPETITIVE TRAVEL PROGRAM IS ALSO OFFERED. ONE LARGE TOURNAMENT IS HELD EACH YEAR WITH TEAMS PARTICIPATING FROM AROUND THE STATE. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO PLAYERS TO PARTICIPATE BUT WHO ARE NOT FINANCIALLY ABLE TO PAY. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE ALSO AWARDED TO FORMER PLAYERS IN PURSUIT OF THEIR COLLEGE ACADEMICS.
OTHER PROGRAMS INCLUDE: BOYS & GIRLS REC & TRAVELSOFTBALL - PROVIDES MULTIPLE LAYERS OF GIRLS' SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES RECREATION, TRAVEL, AND TOURNAMENT SOFTBALL PLAY FOR SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN (4-18) OF PALM BEACH GARDENS AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. THE PROGRAM SERVES APPROXIMATELY 165 CHILDREN IN SPRING, 70 IN THE SUMMER, AND 60 CHILDREN IN THE FALL. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIPS TO PLAYERS TO PARTICIPATE BUT WHO ARE NOT FINANCIALLY ABLE TO PAY. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE ALSO AWARDED TO FORMER PLAYERS IN PURSUIT OF THEIR COLLEGE ACADEMICS. THE PROGRAM HOSTS 3 TOURNAMENTS PER YEAR SERVING 90 TEAMS FROM ACROSS FLORIDA. ONE TOURNAMENT AIMS AT RAISING BREAST CANCER AWARENESS AND EDUCATION. THE PROCEEDS ARE DONATED TO THE SUSAN G KOMEN FOUNDATION. LACROSSE - THE LACROSSE PROGRAM SERVES 65 LOCAL YOUTHS AND IS PURELY RECREATIONAL. MANY CHILDREN HAVE NEVER PLAYED BEFORE AND ARE EXPERIENCING THIS AMAZING SPORT FOR THE FIRST TIME. WE PROVIDE COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO CHILDREN WHO MIGHT OTHERWISE NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE.TACKLE FOOTBALL - THIS PROGRAM SERVES 200 CHILDREN, AGES 5-14, IN THE COMMUNITY. WE HOST 5 HOME FOOTBALL GAMES PER AGE GROUP. WE ALSO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO FAMILIES IN FINANCIAL NEED AND FULL SCHOLARSHIPS TO PLACE OF HOPE CHILDREN. ABOUT 35% OF OUR PLAYERS RECEIVE SOME TYPE OF SCHOLARSHIP/FINANCIAL AID.FLAG FOOTBALL - THE FLAG FOOTBALL PROGRAM SERVES 600 YOUTH, AGES 4-13, IN THE COMMUNITY. WE GIVE ABOUT 12-15 SCHOLARSHIPS TO CHILDREN WHO OTHERWISE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE.
