IN THE AREA OF ORAL HEALTH, THE FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE INNOVATIVE PRACTICE AND EDUCATION CHANGES ACROSS THE NATIONAL PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA) ORGANIZATIONS AND OTHER PARTNERS. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTED INTEGRATION OF ORAL HEALTH INTO PA CURRICULUM THROUGH SMALL FACULTY AND OUTREACH GRANTS AND SUPPORTED OTHER ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE THE PA PROFESSION'S EFFORTS TO EMBRACE ORAL HEALTH AS PART OF OVERALL HEALTH.
IN THE AREA OF HEALTH EQUITY, THE FOUNDATION CONTINUED ITS SMALL GRANTS PROGRAM TO EQUIP PAS AND PA STUDENTS TO DESIGN AND LEAD PROGRAMS IN THEIR COMMUNITY TO FOSTER ACCESS AND PROMOTE EQUITABLE CARE. A SECOND, COMPETITIVE HEALTH EQUITY GRANT PROGRAM WAS ALSO SUPPORTED BY AN ENDOWMENT WITH THE FOUNDATION.
IN THE AREA OF MENTAL HEALTH, THE FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN ACTIVITIES TO ORGANIZE STAKEHOLDERS ACROSS THE NATIONAL PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA) ORGANIZATIONS AND OTHER PARTNERS TO BUILD THE PA PROFESSION'S CAPACITY TO EMBRACE AND INTEGRATE MENTAL HEALTH AS PART OF OVERALL HEALTH. THIS WORK RESULTED IN THE CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR A STEERING COMMITTEE, THE IDENTIFICATION OF ACTIVITIES TO SUPPORT FOCUS WITHIN THE PA MOVEMENT, THE RELEASE OF A STAKEHOLDER REPORT, THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATION, THE CONTINUED FUNDING OF A MENTAL HEALTH COMMUNITY OUTREACH GRANT, RELEASE OF PODCASTS WITH PARTNERS, AND PARTICIPATION IN MEETINGS TO NETWORK WITH OTHERS AND RAISE THE VISIBILITY OF CERTIFIED PAS AS MENTAL HEALTH CARE PARTNERS.
