Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

YOUTH AMBASSADORS: OUR YOUTH AMBASSADORS PROGRAM PROVIDES TEENS WITH SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL & LEADERSHIP SKILLS, EMPOWERING THEM TO FIND PURPOSE AND DEVELOP THE LIFE-READINESS AND CRITICAL THINKING NEEDED TO SUCCEED. TEENS IDENTIFY THEIR STRENGTHS AND PASSIONS, EQUIP THEIR LEADERSHIP TOOLBOX, AND BECOME EMPATHETIC LEADERS READY TO IMPLEMENT YOUTH-LED SOCIAL IMPACT PROJECTS IN THEIR COMMUNITIES. IN 2023, OUR YOUTH AMBASSADORS TRAVELED TO GUATEMALA TO BUILD A SCHOOL FOR AN INDIGENOUS MAYA COMMUNITY THROUGH OUR REACH PROGRAM. THIS LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCE DEEPENS THEIR CULTURAL COMPETENCY AND UNDERSTANDING OF GLOBAL EDUCATION ISSUES

LOVE 4 ONE ANOTHER: LOVE 4 ONE ANOTHER (L4OA) WAS ESTABLISHED BY IAPW TO HONOR AND BUILD UPON THE PHILANTHROPIC WORK BETWEEN IAPW FOUNDER, MANUELA TESTOLINI AND MUSIC ICON, PRINCE. THROUGH L4OA, WE HARNESS THE POWER OF MUSIC, ART, AND TECHNOLOGY TO EMPOWER YOUNG PEOPLE IN UNDER-RESOURCED SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES. BY PROVIDING MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, MUSIC THERAPY INTERVENTIONS, AND MULTIMEDIA TOOLS, WE PROMOTE WELL-BEING AND GIVE KIDS THE CHANCE TO STRENGTHEN THEIR ACADEMICS AND HAVE THEIR VOICES HEARD. IN 2023, WE OPENED A NEW MUSIC & MULTIMEDIA LAB AND TEEN EMPOWERMENT CENTER IN SOUTHEAST D.C.. THE SPACE HOSTS OUR DREAMCATCHERS AND YOUTH AMBASSADORS PROGRAMS AND PROVIDES ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY AND MUSIC FOR 600 STUDENTS FROM ONE OF THE MOST ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED AND UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES IN THE COUNTRY. GOODTECH: GOODTECH CURRICULUM INTEGRATING DIGITAL LITERACY, CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, AND 21ST-CENTURY LEADERSHIP SKILLS, WITH YOUTH-DRIVEN SOCIAL IMPACT. THROUGH GOODTECH, STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT ART, MUSIC, AND PODCASTING FOR SOCIAL CHANGE, AND ARE INSPIRED TO FIND THEIR VOICE, RALLY THEIR COMMUNITY, AND BRING LIGHT TO THE ISSUES THEY CARE ABOUT.

THROUGH REACH (RURAL EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY HARMONY), WE BRING SCHOOLS AND RESOURCES TO RURAL COMMUNITIES IN SOME OF THE WORLDS ECONOMICALLY POOREST COUNTRIES, HARNESSING THE POWER OF EDUCATION TO EMPOWER ALL CHILDREN TO HAVE A VOICE IN THE WORLD. WITH 34 SCHOOLS IN 8 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES, WE'VE PROVIDED THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN WITH ACCESS TO EDUCATION, HELPING TO BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY AND ILLITERACY. WORKING SIDE-BY-SIDE WITH THE COMMUNITY, WE IDENTIFY REMAINING BARRIERS TO EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS AND WORK TO IMPLEMENT SUPPORTING, WRAPAROUND SERVICES SUCH AS CLEAN WATER, SUSTAINABLE FARMING, SCHOOL MEAL PROGRAMS, AND SOLAR POWER. IN 2023, WITH THE HELP OF OUR YOUTH AMBASSADORS, WE BUILT OUR 34TH SCHOOL BRINGING EDUCATION TO AN INDIGENOUS MAYAN COMMUNITY IN THE HIGHLANDS OF GUATEMALA.

DREAMCATCHERS: THROUGH THE POWER OF ART & STORYTELLING, WE TEACH KIDS AGES 5-12 ABOUT SOCIAL ISSUES FROM HUNGER & POVERTY TO CLEAN WATER & CLIMATE CHANGE, CULTIVATING THEIR NATURAL EMPATHY AND EMPOWERING THEM TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE. OUR SIGNATURE DREAMCATCHERS INITIATIVE, LUCIA & LUNAS BACKPACK DRIVE, WHAT STARTED AS A 5-YEAR-OLD'S SERVICE PROJECT HAS BECOME AN AWARD- WINNING, ANNUAL INITIATIVE SUPPORTING 1,500+ STUDENTS FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND HIGH-NEED CLASSROOMS IN LOS ANGELES. THROUGH YOUTH-LED FUNDRAISING EFFORTS, WE HAVE RAISED OVER 50,000 FOR KIDS IN NEED. IN 2023, THROUGH NEW PARTNERSHIPS WITH THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB AND SELECT CHARTER SCHOOLS, WE BROUGHT OUR DREAMCATCHERS & YOUTH AMBASSADORS PROGRAMS TO HUNDREDS MORE KIDS.
