CSRA HEAT JR. OLYMPIC VOLLEYBALL IS A MEMBER OF THE USA VOLLEYBALL ORGANIZATION. THE HEAT IS A GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATION WHICH PROVIDES VOLLEYBALL TRAINING AND SKILL DEVELOP THROUGH TEAM PARTICIPATION AND CLINICS. TEAMS PRACTICE TWICE WEEKLY DURING THE MONTHS OF NOVEMBER-MARCH AND PARTICIPATE IN SANCTION EVENTS FOR CLUB VOLLEYBALL TEAMS IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA WITH ADDITIONAL ELITE EVENTS IN GEORGIA, NC, OR FLORIDA. OUR TRAVELING TEAMS (USUALLY 15-17 IN NUMBER WITH ABOUT 10 GIRLS PER TEAM) INCLUDE GIRLS AGES 12-18 IN AGE. DEVELOPMENTAL CLINICS FOR GIRLS 10-18 AGE HELD THROUGH OUT THE YEAR AND REACH ABOUT 100 ADDITIONAL GIRLS. OUR SANCTION SEASON FOR TRAVELING TEAMS RUNS FROM DECEMBER THROUGH MARCH. COACHING/OFFICIATING PROGRAMS: CONDUCTED DEVELOPMENTAL CLINICS TO TEACH VOLLEYBALL SKILLS AND RULES FOR GIRLS 10-18 IN AGE. APPROXIMATELY 50 GIRLS ATTENDED CLINICS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. SOME CLINICS WERE CANCELLED DUE TO COVID 19.
SPORTS COMPETITIONS PROGRAMS, GENERAL/OTHER: TEAMS PRACTICE TWICE WEEKLY DURING THE MONTHS OF NOVEMBER-APRIL AND PARTICIPATE IN SANCTION EVENTS FOR CLUB VOLLEYBALL TEAMS IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA WITH ADDITIONAL ELITE EVENTS IN GEORGIA, NC OR FLORIDA.
