THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION SHALL BE TO PROMOTE THE WELL BEING OF THE STUDENTS OF A. SCOTT CROSSFIELD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BY PROVIDING SUPPORT FOR THEIR EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND TO PROMOTE OPEN COMMUNICATION AND A WORKING PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN AND AMONG THE ADMINISTRATION,TEACHERS AND PARENTS.

Part 3
IPADS, DASH ROBOTICS AND GOOGLE CARDBORAD WERE PURCHSED FOR THE STEAM LAB. A DREAMBOX, WIND TUNNEL, MINDWARE AND LAPTOP CHARGING CARTS WERE ALSO PURCHASED TO ENHANCE LESSONS IN THE CLASSROOM.
THE PTO PROVIDES FUNDING TO ENHANCE EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND PROMOTE THE WELL BEING OF THE STUDENTS. PROGRAMS ARE MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL STUDENTS AND INCLUDE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS, EDUCATIONAL ASSEMBLIES, FIELD TRIPS AND GRACE ART IN THE CLASSROOM.
SOCIAL EVENTS ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF BRIDGING THE GAP BETWEEN SCHOOL AND HOME. THEY PROMOTE COMMUNICATION AND PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE ADMINISTRATION, TEACHERS, PARENTS AND STUDENTS, A KEY COMPONENT OF THE PTO'S MISSION.
OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE BOOK FAIRS, SPIRITWEAR, THE YEARBOOK, GROUNDS BEAUTIFICATION, STAFF DEVELOPMENT & SUPPORT, CLASS ACTIVITIES, SCHOLARSHIPS AND TEACHER APPRECIATION.
