THIS ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED IN 2005 FOR THE PRIMARY PURPOSES OF: 1) PROVIDING FREE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC; 2) PROVIDING STEWARDSHIP OF AND PROMOTING THE PRESERVATION OF APPROXIMATELY 525 ACRES OF WILDLIFE CORRIDOR ALONG THE HILLSBOROUGH RIVER AND CRYSTAL SPRINGS SYSTEMS IN PASCO COUNTY; 3) PROMOTING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF FLORIDA'S DIVERSE HABITATS AND INDIGENOUS SPECIES OF FLORA AND FAUNA, THEIR INTERDEPENDENCE AND THE IMPORTANCE OF WATER RESOURCES; AND 4) PROMOTING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE NEED TO ENHANCE CONSERVATION EFFORTS OF FLORIDA WILDERNESS.
