EACH CURRENT MEMBER OF THE CORPORATION IS A PUBLIC COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY IN MICHIGAN, AND ACCORDINGLY IS A SUBDIVISION OR UNIT OF GOVERNMENT OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN. DURING THE TAX YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION NEGOTIATED CONTRACTS WITH HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS.
