CORE ACADEMICS: FLI PROVIDES RIGOROUS ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION THROUGH THEUSE OF EFFECTIVE INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES. OUR TEACHERS FOLLOWASSESSMENT-DRIVEN INSTRUCTION BASED ON FORMAL AND INFORMAL EVALUATIONSOF INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS' ACADEMIC NEEDS AND STRENGTHS. FLI'S COREPROGRAM INCLUDES LITERACY, MATHEMATICS, SOCIAL STUDIES, AND SCIENCE.CERTAIN STUDENTS ALSO RECEIVE COUNSELING AS A PART OF THE CORE PROGRAM.EXTENDED DAY: ALL STUDENTS IN GRADE KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 8TH HAVE THEOPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN OUR EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM WHICH PROVIDESENRICHING CLASSES FROM 2:30PM TO 4:45PM. THE EXTENDED DAY PROGRAMPROVIDES STUDENTS WITH EXPOSURE TO THE PERFORMING ARTS, VISUAL ARTS,AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION, WHILE BUILDING ON STUDENTS' CHARACTER,SELF-DISCIPLINE, AND SELF-ESTEEM.
