OUR WORLD NEIGHBORHOOD CHARTER SCHOOLS (OWNCS) WAS ORGANIZED TO INCREASE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS THROUGH INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND TO ENABLE PARENTS TO BE MORE INVOLVED IN THEIR CHILDREN'S EDUCATION. IN FISCAL YEAR 2021, OUR WORLD NEIGHBORHOOD CHARTER SCHOOL OPERATED CLASSES FOR APPROXIMATELY 821 STUDENTS IN GRADES K-8.

OUR WORLD NEIGHBORHOOD CHARTER SCHOOLS' (OWNCS) SERVES A SUCCESSFUL KINDERGARTEN THROUGH GRADE 8 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM. THE SCHOOL PROVIDES ACADEMIC EDUCATIONAL SERVICE FOR 190 DAYS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR. AS SUCH, THEIR STUDENTS ARE TESTED ON A REGULAR BASIS AS REQUIRED BY THE NEW YORK CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION. IN FISCAL YEAR 2021, WE OPERATED CLASSES FOR 731 STUDENTS.
THE SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAM OFFERS SPECIAL SERVICES TO QUALIFYING STUDENTS. SERVICES INCLUDE SPEECH, SPECIAL EDUCATION, AND RESOURCE ROOM. IN FISCAL YEAR 2021, WE OPERATED CLASSES FOR 90 STUDENTS.
